John Mongeon Sr. Memorial Trot

TROT – 5-Year-Olds & Under,

Non-Winners 2 Pari-Mutuel races or $25,000 Lifetime

(Fillies & Mares, Non-Winners 3 P-M races or $30,000 Lifetime) as of March 1, 2019.

Winners over $40,000 in 2018 Ineligible.

** Preference will be given to trainers who had their plurality of starts at SCR in 2018 and must have been the trainer of the nominated horse for its last start as of March 31, 2019 or may be transferred from one eligible trainer to another eligible trainer. ** Outside trainers are encouraged to enter and will be permitted to race if less than 20 preferred nominations are received by the closing date.

1ST Leg           Wednesday, April 17, 2019        $10,000 per division

2nd Leg           Wednesday, April 24, 2019        $10,000 per division  

   FINAL           Wednesday, May 1, 2019           $30,000 (Added)

** Nomination Fee $100.00 ($200 for Non-SHHA Members as of April 1, 2019) **

Payments must be postmarked no later than Monday, April 1, 2019

Nominations close April 1, 2019.  Nominations fee of $100 (Non-SHHA members $200.00) must accompany all nominations in U.S. Funds only.  All dashes to be raced at one mile. Horses must race in both legs to be eligible for the final or any consolations. The final is for the top 8 point winners of the series. No trainer will be allowed multiple entries in the final and/or consolations without bona-fide separate ownership. No trainer will be allowed multiple entries in the final or consolations if said trainer owns a part of any entrant. No owner will be allowed multiple entries in the final or consolations. Ties to be decided by lot. Points will be 50-25-12-8-5 regardless of dead heats and count only to determine the eligible for the final.  Should any of the top point winners fail to declare, the next highest point winners that have declared will be eligible so that there may be 8 starters in the final.  The next highest point winners will be the Also Eligible.  All post positions and ties will be drawn by lot.  If more than one division, SCR reserves the right to race additional division(s) on the racing day immediately following the advertised date.  SCR reserves the right to reject any nomination and/or declaration.  If an insufficient number of nominations and/or declarations are received.  SCR reserved the right to cancel the series or any leg or final.  Rules of the New York State Gaming Commission shall govern.  Entries must meet track standards at time of declaration.
